10 Principles for Thinking about Assisted Suicide: An Interview with Stephanie Gray

In 1999, I was with Center for Bio Ethical Reform (CBR) leading the Genocide Awareness Project (GAP). We were invited to take the display to the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC by the UBC Students for Life.

Upon are arrival in Vancouver, the university demanded CBR pay $10K for “security fees.” Instead of paying the fee, we sued the university.

Despite that setback we still were able to train some students in pro-life apologetics. That is when I met the student leader for UBC Students for Life, Stephanie Gray.   Eventually, Stephanie and her group were able to conduct the outreach at UBC.

Now, Stephanie has become one the foremast pro-life apologists in North America. Stephanie has authored two books :

• Love Unleashes Life: Abortion & the Art of Communicating Truth
• Start with What: 10 Principles for Thinking about Assisted Suicide

“I Rescued Babies from Dumpsters” – An Interview with Dr. Monica Migliorino Miller | The Mark Harrington Show | 2-11-21

Every day, thousands of children—fragile, innocent, alone—are abandoned. They are brutally snuffed from the world and literally left in the trash . . . and it's all legal.

Since 1976, Monica Miller has made it her life's work to defend the unborn. She has counseled pregnant women outside abortion clinics and organized pro-life groups and sit-ins at many of those same clinics. She has blocked abortionist’s cars, been arrested, and gone to jail. And she has pulled the bodies of thousands of unborn babies out of dumpsters and given them a proper burial.

On today’s episode, Dr. Monica Miller relives those days of rescuing children from abortion centers and trash dumpsters. Monica also discusses Red Rose Rescues, during which a team of pro-lifers enter the actual places where the innocent unborn are about to be "dragged to death."

Red Rose Rescuers peacefully talk to women scheduled for abortion, with the goal of persuading them to choose life. They offer to them red roses as a sign of life, peace, and love. Should the unborn still "totter to execution," Red Rose Rescuers stay in the place of execution in solidarity with their abandoned brothers and sisters, performing a non-violent act of defense.

Live Not by Lies: The Rise of Soft Totalitarianism: An interview with Rod Dreher

On this episode of The Mark Harrington Show, Mark speaks with Senior Editor of The American Conservative and author of The Benedict Option and Live Not by Lies.

Here are a few questions Mark will ask:

• What does Rod mean by “live not by lies”?

• What’s the difference between soft and hard totalitarianism?

• Is there a role for capitalism in the coming soft totalitarianism?

• What can people do to resist?

In his book, Rod speaks of the rise of soft totalitarianism brought on by identity politics which marginalizes Christians and other dissenters. Corporations now censor opinions, and technology is bringing us closer to a surveillance state. This kind of system is what every American high school student read about in Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four.

Rod writes about “woke capitalism,” which is what you have when major corporations sign on to culturally progressive causes. In a capitalist society like ours, corporations have been much more important than the state in mainstreaming progressive values.

Live Not by Lies was released early in the COVID-19 pandemic and before the election crackdown on speech. The book predicts much of what we are seeing now.
