Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed into law the strongest pro-life bill in the country, making almost all abortions illegal in the Yellowhammer state.
The Alabama Human Life Protection Act (HB 314) bans abortion for any reason other than to “avert (a mother’s) death or to avert serious risk of substantial physical impairment of a major bodily function.” Performing an abortion would become a Class C felony, punishing abortionists with up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $15,000.
Unlike legislation introduced in Texas, this bill would not hold the woman criminally culpable or civilly liable for committing the abortion.
National Right to Life says, "It goes too far." The "All or nothing" crowd says "It doesn't go far enough." Pat Robertson even says the law is too extreme. While, abortion advocates are going crazy over it.
During the legislative debate, Democrat state Rep. John Rogers rose to national prominence for defending abortion on the grounds that “some kids are unwanted, so you kill 'em now or kill 'em later.”

Mark interviews, Fr. Terry Gensemer, from CEC for Life who has been instrumental in the passage of this bill. Also, mark deals with the issue of whether women who commit abortions ought to be criminalized and send to prison.

unHinged: The Rise of Pro-Choice Extremism | The Mark Harrington Show | 5-8-19
Pro-life speech rights are under attack on college campuses across America. Recently, a pro-abortion activist assaulted one of our team members. Footage of the outburst at University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill, NC) begins with a woman asking our team, “Did you put these [signs] up?” When they respond affirmatively, she proceeds to punch and kick a member of our team.

Mark interviews, Austin Beigel, the 22-year-old intern for Created Equal who was attacked at UNC. Also, at the same campus later in the week an abortion advocate was arrested for stealing some of our signs.
The right to freely speak one's mind is one of the CORNERSTONES of our republic and one that many Americans shed their blood to protect. We will not let ABORTION BULLIES win. Our veterans and progeny deserve nothing less.
Also, Mark discusses the harassment of a female sidewalk counselor by homosexual State Representative Brian Sims. In response, A protest against pro-abortion bullying, and violence is being held on Friday, May 10 at the Philadelphia Planned Parenthood.

Call Speaker Mike Turzai at (412) 369-2230 and minority leader Frank Dermody at (724) 274-4770 ask for a public reprimand of Brian Sims and require him to make a personal apology to the women he harassed.

Dismembering America| The Mark Harrington Show | 5-2-19
A Michigan House committee approved two bills recently to ban dismemberment abortions that tear nearly fully formed unborn babies limb from limb while their hearts are still beating.
If approved by state lawmakers, the bills would add dismemberment abortions to the current state ban on partial-birth abortions.
Pro-abortion Democrats serving on Michigan’s Families, Children, and Seniors committee were speechless after veteran pro-life activist Dr. Monica Miller gave an impassioned testimony against dismemberment abortion at the state capitol.

During her four-minute-long remarks, Miller, the founder of Citizens for a Pro-life Society, told lawmakers about how she retrieved dismembered babies from a dumpster behind an abortion clinic on the state’s east side. These children “died a most horrific, torture method of extermination,” she said. To “dismember the unborn means that we actually dismember them from the human family. We sever them from inclusion into the human family.”
Currently, 11 states ban dismemberment abortions: Ohio, Kansas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Kentucky and North Dakota.
