Secretary of State Validates Signatures for Extreme Pro-Abortion Nov. Ballot Measure

The Ohio Secretary of State has officially validated all of the signatures that were required to get an extreme pro-abortion initiative on the ballot in November of 2023.

This dangerous, California-style proposal is misleadingly titled, “The Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety.” In reality, it would erase the current health and safety standards for mothers and their children, if passed. Here is what this extreme initiative would do:

• Permanently enshrine painful, late-term abortions all the way up until birth in The Ohio Constitution.
• Allow minors to obtain abortions without their parent’s consent or knowledge.
• Open the door to sex-transitioning surgery for minors without their parent’s consent or knowledge.

And it is all funded by out-of-state special interest groups who want to turn Ohio into California.

What is Christian Nationalism? – Stephen Wolfe

In this episode, Mark interviews author Stephen Wolfe, author of The Case for Christian Nationalism.

I just finished his book. It's deep. It's challenging. And I recommend it to anyone interested in Christian political theory. Unfortunately, some Christians who say they don't support what is outlined in the book have never read it. Instead, they often fall for stereotypes about nationalism that the secular media promotes and buy in to the straw man arguments about Christian nationalism from its many detractors.

That said, I believe every Christian who is concerned about the direction of nation/culture should read it. 

Here a few of the questions I ask Stephen:

What is Christian Nationalism?

Is the church called to change the culture?

Is the pursuit of cultural Christianity I replacement for preaching the gospel?

What are the dangers of this view?

Life After Dobbs: A 3-Pronged Strategy | Day Of Action 2023

Dobbs didn't go far enough. The 14th amendment reads:

No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Like the days of slavery we are now faced with slave states and free states – abortion havens and abortion free states.

States had recognized pre-born children as "persons" at all stages of pregnancy.

When the 14th Amendment was adopted, the states widely recognized pre-born children as "persons" at all stages of pregnancy.

• Nearly every state had codified criminal prohibitions by statute. At least 28 jurisdictions labeled abortion as "an offense against the person."

• In 23 states and 6 territories, laws referred to the preborn individual as a "child."

• The same Ohio legislature that ratified the 14th Amendment, called abortion at any stage "nothing less than child murder."

California, Vermont, and Michigan approved ballot measures enshrining abortion into their state constitutions, while those in the red states of Montana, Kansas, and Kentucky rejected measures that would have restricted abortion.

A 3-Pronged Strategy

Political - Defeat the constitutional amendments. If Ohio goes so goes the nation like Dominoes.

Prophetic – we are truth-tellers, visionaries, warning the nation by taking it take to the streets, etc.

Pragmatic – we need to prepare for the long run - win or lose.
